IWI Tavor 7 308 7.62 Nato OD Green T7G16
Description
The Tavor 7 is the next evolutionary step in the Tavor bullpup family. Based on requests from military and civilian customers alike, the Tavor 7 is IWI’s introduction into the 7.62×51 bullpup rifle offering. The Tavor carries the usual reliability expected of all IWI products with some increased ergonomic features. This includes the ability to lock the charging handle without the use of the bolt catch. It also maintains the M4 type ambidextrous magazine release system and 45 degree ambidextrous safety. The TAVOR 7 is a fully ambidextrous platform on which the ejection side and the charging handle can be switched quickly and easily from side to side by the user. The ambidextrous features include: safety lever, magazine release, and bolt catch similar to the X95. The IWI Tavor 7 also includes an M-LOK fore-end as well as MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rails at the 12 and 6 o’clock positions, to allow the use of multiple devices and accessories. The rifle’s body is built from high-strength impact-modified polymer, and has a hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel for enhanced accuracy and life cycle. Additional features include a short stroke gas piston with a 4-position gas regulator, (including an OFF position – a unique feature designed for special operation needs), a rotating bolt system that ensures maximum safety for the user, and a pistol grip that can be changed or modified. I love the gun and can't get over how quick I got it from Gunprime. My dealer called me two days after ordering.
I put in an order and within 4 hours my item was on board a UPS truck heading to me. Super fast service.
Great deal on a great battle rifle. Kyle and the guys there at Gunprime are awesome. I will definitely keep giving them my business!
Love these futuristic battle rifles! Great rearward weight distribution, solid build quality, and a beautiful fit and finish. I had a super friendly and smooth purchase experience through Gunprime, and all at a great price. I will definitely be continuing to do business with them!
Makes all of my other 308s feel like muskets
The guys here are great. Unlike another company that said they had the gun on stock but then sent me an e-mail saying it was on back order, Gunprime got me tracking info the very next business day. I received the rifle within a week and got to put a couple of boxes or ammo through it . The rifle shoots great and has a recoil impulse similar to an over gassed ak. I unfortunately only had a couple boxes of cheap bulk ammo and a 1-6x scope on it but I was able to squeeze out 3.0 to 3.5 inch 5 round groups at 100 yards. I plan on putting a better scope on it and expect that it is easily a 1.5 to 2 moa rifle with the right optics and ammo. I would not hesitate to hunt deer out to 150 yards with the current setup and some good hunting ammo. Trigger was not as bad as I thought it would be at 5.1 lb and is a little spongy like a popular stock striker fire pistol. Reliable for all 40 rounds I put through it. Look forward to shooting it some more once I get some ammo.
I've had this rifle for about a week and I like it so far; however, I haven't had time to shoot it yet. It is typical IWI quality and feels solid and well built. I've added a Primary Arms 3x ACSS scope, a Mlok QD sling mount, a Magpul VFG, a suppressor adapter, and a Manticore Arms curved butt pad and I like it the way it handles now. I also have two original Tavor SARs with Geissele trigger packs. The Tavor 7 already has a decent trigger and doesn't need an upgrade. Also, if you run a magnified optic, I don't think the omission of the backup sights is a big deal.
I do have some druthers for this rifle:
1. I wish the color matched the picture - no a big deal, but it would have looked better.
2. I would rather have a rubber butt pad.
3. They should have had the forward QD sling mount like in the rear.
4. I wish it retained the trigger mag release in the back that the SAR has.
5. Grip is a little small if you have big hands. I wish the grip was bigger/wider for larger hands. The finger grooves/contours don't fit my hands very well.
6. The gas adjustment really does need a bullet tip. It is way too stiff. I actually cut myself adjusting it without a tool.
Love this rifle its a pleasure to shoot and would definitely but again.
Great creation from IWI and great seller!
Much better quality than expected. Perfect balance for CQB or hunting.
Such a good shopping experience. They had the in in stock, it was at a very fair price, they shipped it promptly. Thank you Gunprime!
I'm left handed and needed a great .308ish gun. Works great, love it.
